Do You Take Time to Relax?
Relaxing is a necessary to relieve stress, but how many of us either take the time or have the time to do it?
Between working overtime or to meet deliverables, meeting work demands, taking care of a family or someone who is ill, getting the kids to and from school/daycare before we get off to work and picking them up after we complete our work day, leaves little time for relaxation.
Many suggested solutions for adequate relaxation include:
These activities were proven to work for a majority of people, but again, where do many of us get the time to participate?
And to complicate the issue, there are foods you should not eat and drinks you should not have if you want to be able to relax, however, some of these we are not willing to abstain from, (like our badly needed morning coffee).
Don't despair, in this day of instant gratification, there is a solution that has some excellent results and takes little to no time. It's called aromatherapy.
Usually when people see that word they think of having to research to find the right oils for the right purpose, measuring and mixing them and figuring out how to use them. Actually, it doesn't have to be that complicated. You simply buy a bottle of Lavender essential oil and put a few drops on your pillow or better yet get an aromatherapy diffuser (priced from about $8-35) from Amazon.com or Bulk Apothecary online. So what is an aromatherapy diffuser? It is a container that disperses essential oils so that the scent fills the air with fragrance.
What could be simpler than walking into a room and a having an aroma trigger your relaxation?
Lavender essential oil not only relaxes you but it has healing properties that according to Dr. Axe:
Be sure that your oils are pure and if you are shopping online Bulk Apothecary or Nature's Own Essence has pure oils or you can find them at a natural foods store.
People with allergies have to be cautious; however the Dr. Axe website can give you more information about that.
So diffuse, breathe and relax!
Can We Stop Worry When There is Reason to Worry?
Worry is part of the human condition, but when it becomes so stressful that it affects your mental and physical well-being, it’s to the extreme.
We anticipate challenges and then try to resolve or avoid them, when often we are not equipped to do either. Yet we persist. We try to control the things we simply cannot control.
So how do we stop this vicious cycle or can it be stopped?
There are steps you can take to end chronic worrying; but in reality some will worry if they are doing the steps right and many will feel the solution requires too much time or effort.
Is it possible to rid yourself of that gut-wrenching worry that comes from situations like your children being on drugs, getting pink-slipped, or ending a relationship you don’t want ended? Under extreme circumstance is it possible to find peace of mind?
The answer is yes.
You let go and let God.
What does that mean and how can you do it? What if you don’t believe in God?
For those of you who believe in God, you simply have to remind yourself that everything is in Divine Order and that things are happening for a reason. You have to surrender to God and have faith that He will make everything right in time.
That’s a tall order.
However, the reality is that there is nothing you can do to change certain circumstances. So why not make it easy on yourself and surrender to God, who can and will take care of things?
How do you surrender?
Simply pray. Tell God you can’t handle it and you are handing it over to Him. Then do just that.
If in that instant you acknowledge you are not equipped to fix things and you are willing to drop the responsibility, that’s how you know you have let go. The instant that you let go from the heart and sincerely hand it to God, worry immediately leaves your mind and stays gone.
And what if you are not religious and do not believe in God? Does that make you an outcast who is stuck with the problem of eternal worry?
Not necessarily. According to Bobby Azarian, (blogger for the Huffington post)
“The majority of college-educated individuals no longer accept the supernatural and magical accounts of physical processes given by religious holy books. Nor do they believe in the actuality of mystical realms beyond life that offer eternal bliss or infinite punishment for the ‘souls’ of righteous or evil men.”
This statement does not include people of all walks of life who have no religious beliefs or practices. It would be safe to say that the “non-religious” thinker reflects the philosophic outlook of Individualists like Ann Rand who express that “life is not a supernatural mystery but a fact of nature, and consciousness is a natural attribute not a mystic miracle determined by some occult source in another dimension”.
Instead of “God” power the belief is in “Mind” power. The theory is that the mind is the strongest power man possesses and the thoughts that pass through the mind create everything that happens to us. In other words the subconscious mind creates our reality.
If that is truly the case, then the individual can control and eliminate worry.
According to Psychology Today Psychotherapist, Tina Gilbertson states that, “worry is fueled by unprocessed emotions. The fastest and surest way to stop worrying is to process your feeing’s about the thing you’re worrying about.” She gives step by step instructions on how to do this.
The relationship between religion and science is becoming less conflicted. “American scientists are about half as likely as the general public to believe in God or a higher, universal power”- (2009 Pew Research Center survey).
However, there is one concept that unites us all regardless of our beliefs: “So you’re made of detritus (from exploded stars). Get over it. Or better yet, celebrate it. After all, what nobler thought can one cherish than that the universe lives within us all?” -Neil deGrasse Tyson
The bottom line… regardless of where we stand, we can stop worry even when there is something to worry about.
Do I Have A Curse On Me?
More people today are seeking psychics for life advice; some for the first time.
Can you imagine going to a reader for the first time and she tells you someone has put a curse on you?
The impact is devastating not only for the newbie, but for anyone.
After you get through the initial shock, you may start to doubt, especially if a huge price is offered to “remove” it. However, the doubt doesn’t last especially when your life has been a wreck for months.
And the list goes on. But suddenly there is something to blame your “bad luck” on. So you grab at the life line and dig deep into your pockets. After all it is worth it to get this monkey off your back and have a normal life again.
You pay and oftentimes you come back and pay more. And the bad luck remains.
The fact that life still sucks convinces you that you are cursed and what is more terrifying is that it doesn’t seem to be able to be removed. (The hole in your wallet verifies this).
The question remains, “Are curses real?”
According to Science, we inherit the fears of our ancestors, so if our ancestors feared spells, hexes, etc. then we would automatically fear them and that makes it real.
In other words curses are all in our minds. I’ll have to say that many disagree with that.
These occurrences were not imagination. But we have to consider the mind and what part, if any, that it plays in creating hexes, etc.
Everything has a vibration, color, herbs, words, etc. Color and words have a deep effect on the psychology of an individual and influences behavior. Herbs and minerals have a physical effect and can produce a range from euphoria to depression to pleasure and pain. So it isn’t too far-fetched to assume that someone with a strong mind can combine the energies of elements and words to influence positive or negative change. If that energy is directed towards a person of a weaker mind, then the person’s surroundings can possibly be manipulated.
Consider prayer- people of like mind and intention direct words and energy to sick people and a cure takes place.
Getting back to the Science explanation, it IS all in the mind, but not as imagination. There is something to hexes, spells, and curses. But everyone can’t do them and everyone having a difficult time is not cursed.
So before you dig deep and give away that hard earned cash remember that life changes. We go through phases of things going great to things going haywire. However, no matter what phase your life is in, you have to take responsibility to change it if necessary. And we change things through choice. We can choose to stay in a bad situation or choose find a way out of it.
If you believe that you are a victim, then you will become one. If you believe in yourself and your God given power, you can reject or recover from a curse, hex, spell.
When life is horrid, ask yourself, “Is there something I did or didn’t do to create this circumstance?” Think of what you can do to change or fix it. That is taking control. But if you assume that your problems are due to some hex then you have given control of your life to someone else, have accepted defeat and you will be manipulated.
Some may say, “What if I really am cursed?”
Just know that whatever is done can be undone and it won’t necessarily cost an arm and a leg.
For those who are inclined to believe in curses. The following links will be of interest.
Remember a reader is supposed to be there to uplift you and help to re-balance your life. Bombarding you with bad news and hopeless situations is not the way to do that. Take responsibility to question the things that are going on in your life, their relationship to something you may have done or not done in the past and think of possible ways to improve your circumstances. What often seems like a curse is just life happening and it will pass.
If you feel it necessary to go to someone for help, make sure that person has your best interest at heart. Like counselors, coaches, etc. removing curses may be their job. But like all other professionals they should have set fees. They do not guarantee the impossible or ask for exorbitant and unending payments.
It’s a new world and psychic service is a big part of it. It can be a blessing, but you have to approach it with common sense and caution.
I have written a report that will help you navigate the uncertain waters of getting psychic counseling.
Scroll to the bottom of the page for a free download titled, “How to Recognize an Authentic Intuitive Reader”.
How Often Should I Get a Reading?
The appointments that people make to visit a psychic range from yearly, to monthly to weekly and if you count a "psychic hotline"--daily.
So how frequently should you visit your reader to maintain a healthy client/reader relationship?
We generally strive to maintain a mind/body balance. In other words we do things to prevent or cure imbalances.
We see them when we experience imbalance, either through illness or distress and how often we see them depends on the effect they have on our "well-being". In other words, we go back when our body/emotions tell us to go back.
That is the same gage to use when visiting your medium, clairvoyant, spiritualist, etc.
Think about why you made an appointment with a reader in the first place...life was not going well, you were confused, hurt and unable to make decisions. You needed to take back control of your life.
If your reader is professional, highly trained and experienced, you leave the session with a better outlook and the ability to see a clear path to resolving your problems. When things get chaotic again, and you truly need direction, that is the time to return.
When you are down and visit a reader does it give her/him control of your life?
An authentic reader gives you the tools and guidance to resolve your difficulties and re-take control of your life. They are there for you when you need a temporary shoulder to lean on, but do not encourage you to be solely dependent.
How do you know when you are getting readings too often?
If after a series of readings:
Can getting a good reading replace a doctor or therapist's advice?
Authentic psychics do solve problems and restore balance quickly. However, a quick fix does not get to the bottom of problems for those who need medication, surgery or long-term therapy. A psychic addresses the spiritual and a doctor, therapist, etc., addresses the physical/mental. Accessing both is safer than replacing one with the other.
Why get a reading?
Spiritually gifted people have an ability to connect with the unconscious where all answers and direction lie. Once connected they can interpret signs, impressions, and symbols that guide you through life's challenges. That reduces your stress levels, clairifies confusing circumstances and increases confidence levels.
The bottom line is, circumstance and self-awareness will tell you how often you need to visit your reader; and a professional reader who is committed to spiritual service, will make sure that you don't overdo it.
Be Aware of the Aflac Duck
How many times have we watched an Aflac commercial and found it somewhat amusing and entertaining-the guy with the ridiculously twisted leg taunted by adult men still living off their parents-the couple who goes rowing in a boat with a hole in it, or the girl who breaks her ankle with the tiny dog who so not fits the name Dragon, and of course the Aflac Duck who saves the day.
Tragedy does not discriminate
We choose to be entertained instead of warned. It is easier to ignore the actual message that tragedy can strike, without warning, and leave you helpless and penniless. Or maybe we think that it will never happen to us.
A tragic accident can happen to anyone. A debilitating illness can happen to anyone. And what do we do when they happen? Why call Aflac, of course. All joking aside, Aflac does take care of your financial needs. And to those of us who cannot earn an income during recuperation time (anywhere from 3 months to sometimes years) that is a life saver.
However, all the money in the world does not reduce or eliminate the pain that racks the body in times of illness.
The best protection
Is there any type of insurance that will give you pain relief?
Yes there is, and there are no premiums to pay, deadlines or qualifications to meet. The insurance policy you inherited when you were born is called the mind.
Through the mind you heal the body. First we have to remember that the body has a natural healing process, in other words, no matter how long it takes, the body will repair itself. So where does “mind” come in? The way you think impacts the healing process. If you think you’ll never get well, and you truly believe it, then you won’t. If you believe you will get well, then you will.
Children are not spared
I personally know a teenage boy (my relative) who was practicing for the Olympics. He was a strong gymnast whose challenge was to do the “Iron Cross”- a skill performed on rings by extending both arms straight out from the sides of the body while suspended in midair. Unfortunately, he fell and broke his neck.
Athletes who had sustained that specific injury did not fully recover. The doctors diagnosed that he would never walk again. Everyone accepted the diagnosis except the young man. Through months of excruciating pain and suffering he told himself and his family that he would walk again. His classmates, his school and the whole city prayed for him and he spoke to himself every day affirming that he would walk again.
He did walk again and went on to become a champion martial artist in the US Marines and later worked as a law enforcement agent for the Secret Service at the White House.
He literally cashed in on his “insurance” (his mind) and his asset was prayer.
Everyone has a mind. Everyone has access to prayer, even if you are the only one who prays.
Healing begins in the mind and prayer supports it.
This young man was exceptional; he was a highly trained athlete, so you probably think that there is no comparison between his getting well and your getting well. The comparison is not with his body, but it is with his mind. We all have an exceptional “mind”.
Finding comfort in times of illness
If you are ill and depression is convincing you that life won’t get any better, use your mind this way:
Does this really work?
I can attest to these suggestions, they worked for me.
Recently, I had Shingles and words cannot describe the suffering it puts the body through while it tries to frighten the mind into thinking that death is the only relief.
Through positive thinking, love and prayer I can thankfully say that I am in the process of making a full recovery. My energy levels are back to normal and I am almost back to my daily routines. Everyone heals at a different rate, but everyone does heal. The mind is a powerful tool in the healing process. It is your heritage, your rejuvenation. Claim it. Use it.
We do take different forms of medication during our illness, do not disregard the fact that this can and often does assist in healing. However, know that it is the delicate mechanism in the body itself that does the actual healing. The mind controls that mechanism and you control the mind.
Why the duck
So where does the silly, cute Aflac duck fit in?
The duck symbolizes intuition, emotional comfort, and protection. Aflac couldn’t have found a more profound brand. The often amusing commercials are designed to remind us that life changes dramatically, without notice, and when it does be prepared by having health insurance.
This not so amusing blog is to remind you that life, indeed, can change dramatically, without notice but that we are prepared. We do have health insurance-our minds, love and prayer.
If you’re all starry eyed and feeling lucky because you chose a person you believe to be your soulmate, and think that this love will last forever – you are mistaken.
You initially experience intense pleasure, understanding, compatibility, totally resonating with each other-the perfect partner. Then out of the blue, it all falls apart. They break up with you for unknown reasons, and if they do give a reason, it makes no sense.
By consensus, the very nature of soulmate is one who has come into your life to teach you a lesson or repay a Karmic debt and… they don’t stay around.
This leaves you in pain, taking blame, wanting to do anything to get the person back. After all you loved equally, deeply and it can’t be just over.
But it is and the two of you are—over. Time will assure that you move on and when you do, don’t seek out a soulmate, but instead seek out someone who is willing to reciprocate in mutual acceptance and a willingness to grow together.
Starry, bright eyes can be the windows to delusion.
Words have POWER
POWER has control
WORDS CONTROL YOU
What makes words
You may say " Well, it depends on how someone says them". And if I were to say that's not true, you would probably disagree with me. Think about it, when someone is saying something unpleasant, it won't matter to you what they say, or how they say it, if you ignore them. So that rules out how things are said as the correct answer.
Words control for these reasons
If words can heal disease, they can relieve stress.
You simply allow your emotion to absorb their meaning. For example, if I say something rude to you, you emotionally respond to the meaning of the rude words, and immediately become insulted. If you can do that, you can emotionally respond to a relaxing, word and immediately become relaxed.
It is that simple.
Anger is programmed through accepting the meaning of words that provoke anger. Happiness is programmed through accepting the meanings of words that provoke happiness.
Stress can be relieved through accepting the meaning of words that relax.
I'm going to present you with the following words, penned by Anna Riva. If you allow yourself to feel the words, your stress will lessen, and for some people, it may go away all together.
The following is a prayer. If you think this will not work for you because you don't believe in God. I beg to differ...
Prayer means: a devout petition to God or an object of worship. So your religious beliefs or non-beliefs don't matter. What matters is that you allow yourself to feel the words.
"May this day be blessed with good health, clarity of mind, freedom from anxiety, and a restful spirit. I am an empty vessel that needs to be filled--my faith is weak, strengthen it--my love is shallow, deepen it--my defenses are feeble, fortify them--my fears are many, diminish them--my soul is sore, heal it. Make me to know that all things are possible through love."
"What we have to understand is that our current worldview — the world of objectivity and naïve realism — is beginning to show fatal cracks". - Robert Lanza, M.D
Just an edit......
That basically means that we now have to reconsider what reality is. For example, according to standard physics the ability to tell the future is not real and psychic phenomonon is shakey at best. Yet on a daily basis people are consulting psychics, and according to a gallop poll America's belief in psychics and paranormal phenomonon is up over the last decade.
The practice of hiring psychics has seeped into the corporate world and some companies have used them for employee motivational training and financial consultations. The name psychic has been rebranded "intuitive or medium" to match the professionalism of the corporate structure.
The new and controversial quantum physics is calling attention to bizzare possibility and if its theory is proven, then our worldview will not only crack, but it will shatter.
There is a white paper on psychics in the corporate workplace. Take a look. It should be an interesting read. http://www.tarotreadingsbyalia.com/white-paper.html
Everyone talks about how effective creative visualization is, but some of us don't know how to go about doing it. So here is a step by step guide.
That is the general idea. Imagine something and then use all of your senses to bring it to life. Imagination is easy. Just do it the same way as you did when you were a child.
This practice is used to literally make dreams become reality. It works. However, remember to master anything takes daily practice, consistency and determination.
Do we really determine our own state of health and what job we are best at or is that set up the moment we are born? Astrology signs and interpretations of them can have an impact on our lives but are they accurate? If so, how accruate are they? How much influence should they have on us?
